The Eastbourne Open runs every year starting the second Sunday of July, from Sunday to Friday.
EOBT currently features six competitions: Men’s Singles, Men’s Pairs, Men’s Triples; Ladies Singles; and two Mixed events (Mixed Pairs and Mixed Triples).
Entries are made via an official Entry Form released each year by the Tournament Committee. Details, entry instructions, and prize information are all included on that form.
Before Finals Day: bowlers must wear white collared tops (or registered club shirts) above the waist, grey trousers/skirts/shorts, and regulation flat rubber-soled bowls shoes. Shorts must be from recognised bowlswear manufacturers. For Finals Day, all-white dress (or club shirt + white trousers/shorts/skirts with correct shoes) is required.
Players must report to the designated rink/official at the scheduled start time. If a competitor fails to report within 15 minutes of the scheduled time, they may be disqualified and the match awarded to their opponent – unless prior agreement has been made with the Tournament Committee.
Yes, but there are some restrictions. For example, you may only enter one of the Pairs competitions (i.e. Men’s or Mixed), and due to time and scheduling constraints (especially on Finals Day), participation in multiple finals may be limited.
All official rules, match draws, results and archived information are published on the EOBT website under the “Archive” section.
